INDIANAPOLIS — Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 33 points and made the decisive jumper in the closing second as Milwaukee beat Indiana 117–115 on November 3.
Antetokounmpo added 13 rebounds and five assists, giving the Bucks the largest individual contribution in a game that nearly swung away from them late. Milwaukee improved to 5–2, while Indiana fell to 1–6 despite a 38-point fourth quarter.
Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 32 points and eight assists. Isaiah Jackson supplied 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Jarace Walker added 18 points. Indiana had enough production to make the finish competitive, even while shooting only eight of 33 from three-point range.
Milwaukee's outside shooting provided an important counterweight. The Bucks made 20 of 47 three-pointers, compared with Indiana's eight makes. That advantage helped offset Milwaukee's 18 player turnovers and an uneven 13-of-22 performance at the foul line.
Myles Turner finished with nine points, seven rebounds and five blocks in his first game back in Indiana as a Buck. The return carried an obvious personnel storyline, but the defensive numbers also mattered to the actual contest. Milwaukee needed contributions beyond its leading scorer to remain in position for the final shot.
The last possession belonged to Antetokounmpo. The official play-by-play records his turnaround fadeaway with 0.6 seconds remaining, breaking the tie and leaving Indiana almost no time to construct another answer.
For Milwaukee, the result preserved a strong early record while leaving ball security and free-throw execution to improve. For Indiana, the comeback effort did not change the outcome. The Pacers created a chance to win late, but the Bucks' best player delivered the final score. In a game decided by one basket, that was the separation.
